What's new in DEVONthink To Go 2.3

Version 2.3 embraces many new productivity features that Apple has introduced with iOS 11. Using drag-and-drop users effortlessly organize their documents inside the app. On an iPad with split-screen mode it has never been easier to open documents in other apps or to add bookmarks, texts, images, or other files to DEVONthink To Go databases.

In addition, DEVONthink To Go 2.3 makes its databases available from the new Files app. This allows users to work with documents organized in their databases just like with files stored in files services such as iCloud Drive or Dropbox. Tags added to documents with the Files app appear inside databases, too, and groups marked as favorites are shown, together with DEVONthink To Go's own new favorites, in the new Favorites smart group. And with the new functionality in iOS 11 users can create new text notes with Siri or search for documents without even touching the screen.

iOS 11 brings huge productivity improvements especially for iPad users. With its new multitasking switcher and drag-and-drop it makes using more than one app at a time easier than ever. And the Files app integrates services and apps storing and organizing files in a single place. With DEVONthink To Go 2.3 we support all these new features from day one to let our productivty-centric users benefits from these enhancements right away," comments Eric Böhnisch-Volkmann, President of DEVONtechnologies.

Other enhancements in DEVONthink To Go 2.3 include the ability to run maintenance tasks on sync stores without using a Mac. Swipe actions allow quickly marking items as read or unread, and searching is now also possible from within smart groups. The update to DEVONthink To Go 2.3 is free for existing users and highly recommended.
