Schur Packaging Systems welcomed also at this year's World Publishing Expo a steady stream of visitors to its stand. Schur's motto "The newspaper as high-value product" caught great interest among the numerous visitors.
Nova Dimension plus - Intelligent High Speed Inserting
"Raising the consumer targeting performance is a big issue for all publishers and printing houses", explains Per Bækgaard, operation manager at Schur Packaging Systems.
"With Nova Dimension plus, our state-of-the-art feature for intelligent high speed inserting, we have taken the pulse of the time. To target the contents of each single copy converts a newspaper to an unique carrier and a high value product, just reaching the right target group. This makes the final product much more attractive for the reader, but it also helps the printing houses to increase their revenues and reduce their costs ", continues Mr. Bækgaard. "The fact, that the subscriber can choose the contents of its newspaper itself makes the concept also from the environmental point of view very interesting for the publisher. An environmentally friendly production, where paper, ink and resources are saved and a reader copy that exactly meets the needs of the subscriber! The advantages are obvious", Per Bækgaard finally states.
New Design - An Eye Catcher
Also in terms of design Schur presented some news at the World Publishing Expo. In addition to the A955 high-speed inserter Schur exhibited their new designed pick up station PUC3201. Both units are characterized by a small footprint and compact design. That allows easy integration into any type of mailroom. Not least the ease of use as well as low maintenance is a big advantage.
Schur's CEO - "We felt a positive mood"
Schur's CEO Niklas Grandin draws a positive balance after the three days in Berlin. "After a rather stormy time for the entire printing industry, we have got a lot of positive response here in Berlin. We have discussed many new and interesting projects with existing and potential new customers", states the managing director of the Swedish-Danish mailroom specialist. "Over the last years Schur Packaging Systems has undergone a number of significant changes to adapt the business to the changed conditions of the printing market. This applies of course to our product portfolio but as well the company structure. Now, we have passed these changes and are well equipped to meet future challenges. We look forward to new and exciting projects, where we can continue to provide customers with innovative and flexible solutions as well as long term service and support. ", Mr. Grandin concludes
