It's June and time for our new Mcor Model of the Month.
I've selected this 3D printed box as June's Model of the Month. Here's why. This model has a few unique characteristics. Not only is it 3D printed in True Colour, with text, images, logos and multiple, accurate colours, it is also a living hinge.
The box was first 3D printed flat, in full colour on all sides, and then folded at the joints to produce the box.
Besides being printed in True Colour on all sides simultaneously, what is also unique to Mcor's SDL paper-based 3D printing technology is that the hinges won't become brittle and break over time, as would happen with plastic. These capabilities are well suited for packaging applications, among many others. This box can be open and closed, folded and unfolded as often and as many times as you like, and it won't break or tear.
