gwk takes over the entire temperature control technology sector of Hahn Enersave GmbH / Strategic expansion in the plastics processing industry
technotrans SE strengthens its activities in the growing field of the plastics processing industry: its subsidiary gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH takes over the temperature control technology sector of Hahn Enersave GmbH, Wiehl, by way of an asset deal. The business sector will be integrated into the Meinerzhagen location of gwk.
"This transaction strengthens our position in the plastics processing industry and forms the basis for further growth," explains Dirk Engel, spokesman of the board of technotrans AG. The acquisition optimally complements the portfolio of gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik in the field of temperature control devices. Of particular interest are the energy-efficient, frequency-controlled pumps made by Enersave as well as the intelligent integration into machine control systems. The purchase price in the lower single-digit million range will be financed with the funds of gwk.
"Our goal is to successively expand our business in the market segment for compact temperature control units on an international level", says Dirk Engel. "The acquisition of the technology and contractual relations of Hahn Enersave GmbH is a strategic step forward in the right direction." Most recently, Hahn Enersave GmbH achieved annual sales in the lower single-digit million range with its business. Ralf Radke, previous managing partner of Enersave and proven industry expert, will now act as a Business Development Manager for gwk and provide technotrans with his extensive expertise. The contracts for the acquisition were signed on 2 July 2018 and the transaction was completed with immediate economic effect.
